Jazz on the Grass

Our first staged event – Jazz on the Grass’ – took place on Saturday 31st July at Rye Rugby Club. The skies finally cleared by the afternoon and – as you’ll see from the pictures – a good time was had by all listening to the great sounds of the J.J. Vinten All-Star Band.

Sincere thanks to the usual suspects: Rye Rugby Club, John Bryant of On-Stage, Pat Hughes from Rye & District Community Transport [who provided a free shuttle service to the town] and Jimper Sutton for the tireless cleaning.

We drew a good crowd of old and new converts and plans are already underway to make next year’s event run as smoothly.
